Compound turbo kit systems can get you large numbers of boost pressure that your looking for as well as fairly-early turbo response . But all of that boost pressure can come at a large price. The boost pressure that is cycled through the smaller 2nd turbo is very hot and that heat can cause plenty of nightmares, especially if you have it on a gasoline engine.

Twin turbo systems can have similar issues to large turbos. The benefit of twin turbo kits is the exhaust gets divided between two turbos.
